Biografia:
Peter Thabit Jones è nato a Swansea, nel Galles. Per il suo coinvolgimento nelle arti visive dal 2009 è diventato rappresentante per il Regno Unito e socio onorario del movimento artistico letterario Immagine & Poesia, movimento che in pochi anni si è diffuso a livello internazionale attraverso il Web.
Autore di decine di libri, il suo primo libro americano di poesie, The Lizard Catchers, pubblicato dalla casa editrice di New York Cross-Cultural Communications nel 2006, è giunto alla sua terza edizione.
Il suo più recente libro americano è Poems from a Cabin on Big Sur.
La sua poesia Kilvey Hill è stato incorporata in una vetrata di Saint Thomas Community School a Swansea, nel Galles. La finestra è opera dell’ artista gallese Catrin Jones.
Ha girato gli Stati Uniti d'America con Aeronwy Thomas, figlia di Dylan Thomas, per sei settimane nel marzo 2008, con conferenze e laboratori da New York alla California. Il tour è stato organizzato da Stanley H. Barkan di Cross-Cultural Communications.
E’ il fondatore ed editore di The Seventh Quarry / Swansea Poetry Magazine, che viene pubblicato a Swansea, nel Galles, con una prospettiva internazionale.
Le sue poesie sono state tradotte in oltre venti lingue, compreso il russo, serbo, francese, persiano, ebraico, turco, giapponese, catalano, italiano, tagalog (lingua delle Filippine), tedesco, siciliano, spagnolo, coreano, arabo, portoghese, bengali, cinese, olandese , e rumeno. E 'stato premiato in diversi concorsi internazionali di poesia Regno Unito e negli Stati Uniti.
Ha scritto, con Aeronwy Thomas, il Dylan Thomas Tour nel Greenwich Village, New York (2008).
Ha organizzato letture di poesia a New York e poi succesivamente a Carmel e Monterey, California.
La prima mondiale del suo suo dramma in versi, The Boy and the Lion’s Head , diretto da John Dotson, con musiche commissionate dal musicista californiano Martin Shears, si è svolta a Monterey.
Nel giugno 2011 è stato il co-organizzatore, con Stanley H, Barkan, il suo editore di New York, di un Festival Internazionale di Poesia a Swansea, nel Galles. Peter Thabit Jones è anche l’organizzatore dell’ American/Welsh Drama Festival,(Swansea, agosto 2012.)
E’ inoltre stato incaricato di scrivere un’opera teatrale sullo scultore Edmund Kara, famoso per la sua scultura di Elizabeth Taylor nel film The Sandpiper.
Il suo ultimo libro di poesie Stars at Elbow and Foot/ And Other Poems è del 2012.
Nomination per il Pushcart Prize 2013 (sezione Poesia).
