He sayd no to the famous Falcon meddel wich they were trying to give him in the year 1965. He accepded that they coul keap it in the artmuseum of Iceland but Jóhannes never wanted it in his hands. this is the only Falcon meddel that has not hed to been given back at the death of the reciver.
-Decendents of Kjarval have given his Paintings to [[Reykjavik]] city, But Kjarvalstadir store those paintings.
