Objectives:
The aims of this festival are the diffusion and promotion of digital art with particular attention to electro music and audio-visual works. The workshops that usually accompany the concerts during the festival, underline the interest of the organization toward audio-visual experimentation. The workshops, in fact, are mainly based on the study and use of professional software for video and audio creations (Photoshop, Logic, Ableton live and others).

Arte digitale, musica elettronica, video, vj-ing.
Origin and History:
The Fesival debuted with its first edition in 2005. Muv is set in different places of Florence, first of all the Fortezza da Basso. During the eight editions other venues have been used, among them the historic part of the city (Loggia del Grano, Loggia del Pesce) but also the beach along the Arno river, Villa Strozzi’s Limonaia and Parco delle Cascine. Usually the editions of the festival are characterized by specific themes, for example in 2009 the topic of environmental sustainability, or lighter ones such as “Play the Game” in 2011 or “Digital Renaissance” in 2012. The artistic direction selects concerts and artists of the Florence, Italian and European scene. Some areas of the festival, like the mixed media or the short movie contest, are open to the public. These two contests offer to young artists the opportunity to be part of the festival’s program and to perform in front of the MUV’s public.
