| − | I risultati di queste ricerche sono alla base di due importanti pubblicazioni: ‘La Galassia Gutenberg' del 1962 e ‘Gli Strumenti del Comunicare' del 1964. Nel primo saggio, McLuhan reinterpreta la storia delle comunicazioni alla luce dei mutamenti intercorsi negli anni successivi alla seconda guerra mondiale. L'idea di base è che il linguaggio sia una metafora in grado di tradurre l'esperienza.
